Imagine there’s a reason why you have never quite felt like you fit in – if maybe only deep inside. Imagine it’s because there’s a bigger version of your life waiting for you. One where the rebellious trailblazer within doesn’t have to hide away the less desirable parts, but is fully onboard with the way you love, work, lead and contribute.
My story

I grew up as the straight-A student, the good daughter doing all the right things, and for the longest time I wasn’t in touch at all with what I actually wanted beyond pleasing those around me. I mean, it was well rewarded, and how should you know any better as a kid, really?
My life could’ve gone on like that for years I guess, and I would likely have made a career as the typical high achiever, but then my dad died of cancer when I was 17 – and things changed.
I was so disconnected from who I was and my own feelings back then, that I didn’t even grieve at the time. But his death – which my young self attributed to the stress he’d had at work all the time – profoundly influenced the trajectory of my career.
I wanted my work to be fun and meaningful for myself and others. I didn’t want to put up with the bullshit like my dad had, returning home burnt out, complaining about the terrible leadership, secretly heartbroken and never feeling acknowledged for his genius. Literally killing him.
However, I didn’t get that at the time. I didn’t get what I was looking for at all – for years on end and I struggled big time. Sometimes outside, but mostly on the inside.
Only once I met coaching things began to change, two-fold: Not only did coaching finally offer the support I’d craved. But from the minute I’d experienced the power, I had a knowing that this would be my path. (Read more about my story, training etc. here)
My mission
My mission is…
Leadership: I firmly believe that great leadership starts within. It’s not about the position assigned and we’re done. It’s about growth, responsibility (not to be confused with blame) and the courage to be vulnerable. A great leader is willing to elevate those around them, because they get how much more we can achieve with everyone wholeheartedly involved. This is the kind of leadership I am a stand for and want to co-create more of in the world.
Full expression: I find it heartbreaking how many people edit themselves to fit into the tight corset of professionalism – especially the smart and bright ones. You would think they’d have it easier, but there’s even more compartmentalising going on to satisfy those around you. Different is scary, so we all end up calibrating our light to squeeze into others’ requirements. What we kinda overlook is that it doesn’t have to be this way – it’s just what we learnt as children to fit in and survive. One of the cornerstones of my work is to support you in showing up with your light fully expressed to serve yourself and the world with it.
Your mission: I don’t think coaching is kind of a luxury, available only to those whose lives already are kinda “too good”. Rather, I see it as an essential stepping stone to a better world: Imagine everyone would strive to bring their mission to life, coming from our lights. What became available if we didn’t have to chase “the next” or “more”? Instead we could trust we are and have enough and we have all the resources to create what we see as our job on this planet. I see myself as the catalyst for your amazing mission.
The power of coaching

Sometimes, people are a little disappointed by coaching at first. No advice? No “this is what makes life perfect”? How the hell can this be valuable?
But once it catches on, it tends to become an invaluable part of life. Every single one of us has a bigger version of our lives available, with more power, impact, satisfaction. And they key – ultimately – always lies within.
Coaching is neither healing the past, nor fixing the future. Rather, it is truly a partnership based on mutual trust and respect. You, the client, are healthy, whole and well – and up to choosing differently. Almost everything in life, on some level, is a choice. That can be uncomfortable, or even impossible to see. Consequently, it takes courage and it’s not for everyone. In fact, reading this, you might find yourself rationalising you already have plenty power, impact, satisfaction. And that’s great, too. It’s optional to play a bigger game. However, if you want to, this is the invitation.
Meet the Coach

My background: When I was about 18 and it was time to decide on a career path, I felt lost. I didn’t know a thing about coaching back then, was too afraid to become a cellist and kinda wanted to defy my dad post-mortem – who never wanted me to choose a technical degree. So I became a civil engineer. Soon I knew this wasn’t going to be my work, but little did I know about the search that lay ahead of me.
How I met coaching: It all started with buying a horse (without knowing much about horses at all). Horse training turned out to be so much more down my alley than engineering, that I soon tried to launch a completely different career. I had no idea what I’d gotten myself into – how much there was to know, transform, own about myself. But when I got stuck, I finally met my first coach.
Turning pro: So it was 2015, when this wild ride truly began. I would gradually choose into deeper and deeper work. Since I felt I was done for good with formal education at this point, I’d looked out for the best mentors and teachers I could find, no matter the price tag. I learned A TON – and it ended in me going back to part-time civil engineering for a while. In hindsight it was one of the most healing and transformative decisions of my life, because I realised how much had been about my inner life and attitude.
Similarly, I was finally ready to choose back into formal training from a whole other angle – and thanks to Covid, I got the opportunity to train online with the best coach training I know out there: Accomplishment Coaching. And even though this gave me an incredibly solid foundation, I already knew it’s a mere stepping stone.
The real magic lies in continually choosing into deepening my path towards mastery – for the love of my profession and my clients. I’m ongoingly working with some of the best coaches and programs I know, because it is a crucial part of my job.
